ENERGY EFFICIENCY UPGRADES INCLUDE

  • High-efficiency LED lighting installed in offices and repair shops.
  • Infrared tube heaters in the main shop to heat objects instead of air.
  • Programmable Wi-Fi-connected thermostats for proactive heating and cooling management.
  • Large ceiling fans in the main repair facility for temperature destratification during all seasons.
  • Motion sensors in offices and other areas to minimize energy use in unoccupied spaces.
  • Preventive maintenance program implemented to ensure HVAC systems operate at peak efficiency.

SUSTAINABILITY PROGRAMS

  • Comprehensive in-house recycling and landfill diversion program for materials such as paper, bottles, cans, toner cartridges, cardboard, metals, wiring, batteries, and solvents.
  • Donation program for gently used appliances, cabinetry, hardware, and surplus assets to Habitat for Humanity's Re-Store.
  • Refurbishment and donation of surplus computer hardware (laptops, desktops, monitors, accessories) to Covenant House to support at-risk youth.

FUTURE INITIATIVES

  • Exploring the installation of high-efficiency solar panels on the roof of our main service facility to enhance sustainability.

TRANSITION TO ELECTRIC VEHICLES

  • Starting in 2025, we will transition our service vehicle fleet to electric models, including the Ford E-Transit and Lightning RAM ProMaster.
  • Installing Level 2EV chargers at our office to support service vehicle charging and accommodate employees with EVs.

FUEL ALTERNATIVES

  • Investigating the use of bio and renewable diesel in our rental fleet where applicable.

DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION

  • Transitioning to a digital-first workplace to reduce reliance on physical paperwork, printers, paper, toner, and ink.
